The Ice Pack Eco® is specially developed for the hygienic chilled transport of products like fresh fish, seafood, and other temperature-sensitive goods. Its kraft paper layer, coated with PE, forms the sustainable base of this gel ice sheet.
By using paper instead of plastic, this cooling element reduces the use of virgin plastic, making it a more sustainable packaging solution for the cold chain.
Ice Pack Eco® offers the same convenience as the well-known Ice Pack XL®. Here's how it works:
Immerse the sheet in water for 10 minutes.
The sheet absorbs the water and forms individual gel pads.
Place the gel pads in the freezer.
Once frozen, they're ready for use.
The great benefit? The water stays locked inside the pads during thawing. That means no leakage, no mess, and a more hygienic transport environment—especially important when shipping fresh fish or seafood.
