Gelpacks for shipping

Gelpacks are LDPE bags filled with gel and used for cooling products during transport. Fresh products need to maintain a temperature between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius to preserve their quality. When a product moves outside this required temperature range, it can lead to spoilage and claims for the shipper.

Why choose cold gelpacks?

• Gelpacks are easy to use. Simply place the full box or pallet in the freezer and wait until the gelpacks are frozen. When ready, take them out and place the coolants in an insulated box together with your fresh products.
• The cooling performance of gelpacks is excellent due to the gel inside. It releases cold steadily and slowly. Gelpacks remain frozen significantly longer compared to water packs or crushed ice.
• Gelpacks are leakproof and hygienic. The ceramic-sealed polyethylene film prevents the gelpacks from leaking. The film used is hygienic and does not migrate to the products inside the box.
• Gelpacks are easy to reuse, depending on your logistics setup. You can wash and freeze the gelpacks multiple times after use. This makes them cost-effective and practical to use.

• In the seafood industry, gelpacks are used to keep fresh fish cooled during airfreight and transport without temperature-controlled conditions.
• Gelpacks work very well for fresh meat in parcel deliveries. E-commerce butchers are able to ship and maintain the highest quality of meat to their customers using parcel services, thanks to good box insulation combined with gelpacks.
